School of English research centre, ‘Beyond the Spectacle: Native North American Presence in England‘ are supporting Border Crossings’ ORIGINS Festival.
The festival is a celebration of the world’s First Nations with art, performance and debate. The team behind the festival share, “[This] is a unique opportunity to engage with Indigenous artists and activists at the cutting edge of cultural resistance, environmentalism and spiritual tradition. Working with some of the most significant cultural institutions in London, ORIGINS brings the world’s Indigenous artists and cultures to the heart of the capital.”
Beyond the Spectacle is supporting the ORIGINS Writers series, a series of online literature events with First Nations writers and poets. Events include:

- Thursday 3 June at 6:30pm: Liz Howard and Matthew James Weigel
- Wednesday 9 June at 2:15pm: Nicola I. Campbell
- Thursday 10 June at 6:30pm: Kyle Whyte & Jay Griffiths
