DATABLEEDER 6

DATABLEEDER, the poetry reading series curated by Dr Nell Perry and Dr Juha Virtanen, is launching its second season with an event on Wednesday October 9th, starting at 7pm. We are very pleased to return to The Parrot (1-9 Church Lane, CT1 2AG) for an evening of excellent contemporary poetry.

DATABLEEDER 6 will feature readings from:

NISHA RAMAYYA
Nisha Ramayya grew up in Glasgow and is currently based in London. Her debut collection States of the Body Produced by Love is out with Ignota Books. Recent publications include the pamphlet In Me the Juncture (2019) published by Sad Press and Threads (2018), a critical-creative pamphlet co-authored with Sandeep Parmar and Bhanu Kapil, published by clinic. She is a member of the ‘Race & Poetry & Poetics in the UK’ research group (www.rapapuk.com) and a lecturer in Creative Writing at Queen Mary University of London.

DANNY HAYWARD
Danny Hayward lives in London. His most recent books of poetry are I/II (Shit Valley 2017) and Pragmatic Sanction (Materials 2015). They’re both out of print, but you can download them from the archive-in-progress pxxtry.com

HOLLY PESTER
Holly Pester is a poet and educator. Her book, go to reception and ask for Sara in red felt tip is a collection of poetry and experimental fictions written in response to the Women’s Art Library archives (Book Works 2015) and her album, Common Rest (Test Centre 2016) is a collection of collaborative lullabies and sound poems. Her work has featured in Poetry London, The White Review, The Believer online and The Poetry Review. She is lecturer in Poetry and Performance at University of Essex.

ED LUKER
Ed Luker is a poet and writer based in London. He is the author of four chapbooks, including Peak Return (Shit Valley, 2014), Headlost (RIVET, 2014), The Sea Together (Materials, 2016), and Compound Out The Fractured World (RIVET, 2017). He runs the semi-regular reading series, radio show, and poetry platform RIVET. His fifth collection Heavy Waters has just been released on The 87 Press.

CAT WOODWARD
Cat Woodward is a feminist lyric poet and Creative writing teacher. Her PhD is in robot and lyric voice (UEA). Her first collection is Sphinx (Salò, 2017), her second collection, Blood. Flower. Joy! is due from Knives, Forks and Spoons in 2019. In 2018 she won the Ivan Juritz Prize for creative experiment. New poems are forthcoming in Butcher’s Dog, Hotel and The White Review.
