Sounds New Poetry is jointly organised by two of the Research Centres within the School of English: Modern Poetry and Creative Writing. Events range from a poetry writing workshop to poetry readings, poetry with music performances, a lecture on British Poetry since 1950 and an ‘open mic’ session for budding poets. The event follows two full terms of poetry readings and events organised by the school as part of the Creative Writing Tuesday Reading series.
