Rochester Dickensian Christmas Festival

Saturday 7th December, 11:00, Canterbury East Station

A social event organised by the School of English PhD Board – all welcome

You can uncover a feast of Victorian delights, costumed characters, parades and join in with our open air carol concerts. The market is set in the picturesque Rochester Castle Gardens. You can browse a variety of stalls for unique gift ideas and stocking fillers. You can wander through the Bavarian food village or visit the funfair. There will also be live performers to keep you entertained. There is a guaranteed snowfall, all framed by Rochester’s fairy tale cathedral and castle.

The trip will take place on Saturday 7th December. All attending should meet at Canterbury East station for 11am (to catch the 11.16 train to Faversham, change there to arrive in Rochester at 12.06). Train tickets online cost £9.90 return when booked with 16-25 railcard, or £15 return with no railcard. Everyone is responsible for their own travel expenses.

This event is open to all and very relaxed – there is no set return time, so people will be responsible for their own train travel back to Canterbury.

If anyone has any questions, please email Megan Batterbee.
