You learn how to report brilliantly for radio, television, newspapers and the internet while studying for a qualification that is professionally accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists.
We’re so good at preparing people for working in the industry that a lot of our students get jobs before they’ve even graduated!
Tutors include former editors of national newspapers, radio and television programmes. Professional training is reinforced by academic teaching by leading historians, political scientists and lawyers.
The course is based in state-of-the-art newsrooms on the university’s historic Medway Campus complete with radio and television studios, its own dedicated website and opportunities for work experience at KMTV, the television news service for Kent, which is based in the Centre for Journalism.
