Alex Preston (Lecturer in Creative Writing) appeared in the Guardian over the weekend, contributing to their ‘Best Books of 2015’ series. Alex’s ‘Best Novels of 2015’ included the winner of the Man Booker Prize 2015 A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James, which Alex describes as ‘violent, polyphonic’ and ‘masterful’, and School of English alumnus Kazuo Ishiguro’s latest novel The Buried Giant.
