Results published today reveal that in the National Student Survey 2014 our students gave us an outstanding rating of 94% for overall student satisfaction. The annual independent survey (commissioned by the Higher Education Funding Council and supported by the National Union of Students) gathers opinions from final year undergraduates on the quality of their courses. Students assess their experiences of teaching, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources and personal development.
The School of English is delighted to have received such a strong endorsement from its students.
This news further reinforces the School’s position as one of the leading English departments in the country. Earlier this year Kent was ranked 13th in the UK for English in the 2015 Guardian University Guide. Recent results also show that our students go on to be some of the country’s most employable graduates, despite the challenging economic climate. 91% of our students were employed in graduate level jobs within 6 months of graduating in 2013.
