Postgraduate funding success for School of English alumnus

School of English alumnus George Temple has been awarded a prestigious fully funded scholarship to study for a PhD at the Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. George studied for an MA in English and American Literature and then stayed in the school to pursue an MA in Creative Writing in 2013.

George’s research will focus on politics and register in experimental poetry from the 1960s to 2010s. Poets will include Tony Lopez, Susan Howe, Denise Riley, and Stephen Rodefer. The School of English would like to wish George every success with his studies.
