To commemorate its 50th anniversary the University of Kent is running a range of European Summer Schools at its European centres in Paris and Brussles. There are also several scholarships available for Kent students in the summer of 2014. The scholarships will be awarded to second and final year undergraduate students of the University of Kent and will be based on their academic performance. The scholarship will cover tuition, travel and accommodation expenses of the Summer Schools.
Students at the Summer School will benefit from tailor-made courses that combine campus-based teaching sessions and outdoor cultural activities. In the past, students have explored the architecture of Paris and visited the Battlefields of World War One in bespoke tours guided by experienced and knowledgeable academics. The supportive and encouraging interdisciplinary learning environment is ideal for those wishing to enrich their academic knowledge and professional skills while benefiting from the cultural opportunities of study abroad.
The University of Kent Paris centre offers a unique selection of innovative and cross-disciplinary postgraduate degrees in the Humanities, including several MA programmes based in the School of English. The programmes allow students to spend a term in Canterbury and one in Paris and offers students an extraordinary opportunity to study film, art, creative writing, literature, history and architecture in two great European cities.
