Second annual TEEME conference announced

The international TEEME (Text and Event in Early Modern Europe) Erasmus Mundus Conference, Between Words and Worlds: Texts and Contexts in the Early Modern Period, will take place in Prague from 31 October to 2 November 2013. TEEME is an international doctoral programme in Early Modern Studies, which is partly funded by the European Union. This unique programme is built around collaboration between universities and the cultural and creative sectors in four EU countries. The participating universities are University of Kent, Freie Universität Berlin, Universidade do Porto and Univerzita Karlova in Prague.

The three-day conference will be hosted by the Faculty of Arts in the Charles University in Prague and will include a Keynote address from Carlo Ginzburg entitled ‘Looking at Europe from the Orient (1704-1706): Reflections on a Work in Progress’.
