School of English student to perform at the Southbank Centre for National Poetry Day Live

Jamal Msebele, a first year English and American Literature and Creative Writing student, will be performing alongside Roger McGough and some of the UK’s leading poets on National Poetry Day (October 4th) as part of the Southbank and Poetry Society’s celebrations. Jamal was the first ever winner of the now annual John Betjeman Poetry Prize in 2006 which was judged by the then poet laureate Andrew Motion. We wish Jamal every success with the event.
