On 21 June 2012, a new partnership was launched between the University of Kent and the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London, shared between Kent’s School of English and School of Arts.
The partnership is expected to lead to a number of exciting opportunities, including joint Masters Degrees, internships, professional practice projects for PhD students and a student-curated film ‘festival’. Another benefit for all new School of English undergraduates and postgraduates is a year’s free membership of the ICA, enabling English students to interact with students from other institutions, attend and network through private views for members, and use the members-only studio facilities.
Our Head of School, Professor Peter Brown said ‘I am pleased that the School has become part of such an exciting, creative and productive partnership. It is also one that will enable students to engage with one of the UK’s flagship arts institutions at an important period in their lives.’
Keep your eyes on our news feed and events page for related opportunities; we hope that our English students can make the most of such an exciting partnership.
