New Modules for undergraduate students

From September 2012 there will be a range of new modules available for all undergraduate students.

A new module called Writing America has been devised specifically for first year undergraduate students. The module aims to emphasise connections between literature and culture in the USA, from early considerations of a distinct American literature to the present day. The module will introduce students to some of the major debates that have formed and modified American literary and intellectual culture (such as Belief, Gender, Race, Economy, Space and Time) and will be approached through a range of textual forms.

In response to student demand the school will also be offering a wider range of Stage 2 and 3 modules covering all aspects of English literature from Chaucer to present day, with additional special modules in American, postcolonial literature and creative writing.
