The School of English has jumped 11 places to be ranked 20th in this this year’s Guardian University Guide.
The University of Kent as a whole has also performed very well and has ranked 22nd out of 120 UK higher education institutions.
The university now has seven subjects in the top 10 (Anthropology; American Studies; Architecture; Economics; Modern Languages; Religious Studies; Social Policy), with six ranked in the top 20 (Archaeology; Art & Design; Classics; Drama & Dance; English; History & History of Art). Many others are also in the top 30.
