Dr Mahmoud Shafiee of the Mechanical Engineering Group at School of Engineering has had a research paper accepted for oral presentation at the 11th European Solid Mechanics Conference (ESMC 2022), taking place from 4-8 July 2022 at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
Mahmoud’s paper is entitled ‘A Probabilistic Fracture Mechanics Based Approach for Inspection Planning of Offshore Wind and Hydrogen Jacket Structures’.
Mahmoud said: ‘We are proud of this achievement and very delighted to see that our work in Mechanical Engineering Group at the University of Kent is being well recognised by international events. We are looking forward to attending in the event and presenting our activities in Mechanical Engineering Group to many other researchers and world-leading businesses’.
