Many congratulations to Dr Mike Green, who has been promoted to Senior Lecturer this academic year.

He completed his PhD in the area of Digital Arts in 2017, specifically investigating the use of video-mediated communication amongst the lesbian and gay community. He is currently Director of Studies for design-focused courses within the School. Mike is an Adobe Certified Associate in Visual Communication using Photoshop, and is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Mike’s research interests are inter-disciplinary in nature, grounded in the field of human-computer interaction, and covers aspects of wearable computing, online disclosure and identity, and web technology. Recently, his research has focused on design pedagogy within a higher education context.

Professor Richard Guest, Head of the School of Engineering, commented on the recent promotions in the School: ‘The recent promotions within the School of Engineering recognise the significant contributions that Mike, Sanaul and Luca continue to make across all areas of their activities. All three promotions are well deserved’.
