Learn about careers in Formula 1 with Kent Alumnus Richard Saxby

Richard Saxby, Head of Motorsports Accounts for McLaren and Electronic Systems Engineering alumnus, will give a talk on ‘A Career in F1’ on Friday 15 October at 1pm.

Applying learnings in Transducer technology and Data Acquisition to Formula One was Richard’s entry ticket to 20 year long career. He got his start in Research and Development, through to trackside operations including many pit stops and calls relating to the performance of the car and driver. Two World constructors titles with Renault F1 and a further seven with Mercedes AMG F1 as the Head of Test and Development have led to Richard taking a role with McLaren.

Richard will be talking to Kent students about his career as well as offering a chance for you to ask questions about getting into F1.
