We are seeking a talented and motivated postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Communications Group in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts at the University of Kent. The application deadline is Sunday 28 February 2021.
As Research Associate you will apply state-of-the-art microwave photonics techniques to develop highly efficient optical fibre true time delay unit for ultrawideband array antennas. This project is funded by an EPSRC research programme and titled “Low-Profile Ultra-Wideband Wide-Scanning Multi-Function Beam-Steerable Array Antennas“. The project’s main supervisor is Dr Chao Wang, Senior Lecturer in Electronic Systems, and the Co-supervisor is Professor Steven Gao, Professor of RF/Microwave Engineering.
The appointee will:
- meet the objectives of the relevant project work packages according to the direction of the investigators
- support the research of other team members under the direction of the principal investigator
- contribute to internal research progress meetings with other investigators and researchers
- read literature and share appropriate articles with the investigator team, regular literature reviews will be undertaken
The role is full time and fixed term (18 months).
