Medway Council is the regional council for the Medway area, Kent.

About

Medway Council, the unitary council for the Medway area in Kent, has sponsored the EP Scheme for the last three years, notably offering Ipads to highest scoring students and internships within the Re-generation, Culture and Community Department, as well as the Category Management team, part of the Legal & Corporate Services Division.

During the past five years, a number of EP students, following work placements, have secured full-time employment with the Council, whilst another secured a training contract with a prestigious London law firm.

Rewards 2018-19

Medway Council will be providing a range of rewards for students this year. So far, we can confirm:

  • £150 Amazon voucher to the ‘highest scoring student studying a business-related degree in Medway’ and £350 Amazon voucher to the ‘highest scoring Medway student’.
  • Internship in the Housing Strategy team.
  • Stats internship in Highway Management.
  • Data Analysis internship in Public Health.
  • Internship focused on planning and delivering as a part of the Council’s Youth Scheme.
  • Project placement focused on marketing strategy in HR and Finance.
  • Project placements in Public Health focusing on both sexual health and social isolationism.
  • Work experience assisting with the delivery of the Youth Scheme.
  • Work experience in financial strategy.
  • Work experience in HR.
  • Work experience focusing on redesigning intranet pages.
  • Work experience in the Business Change Team, looking at the different services and designing new ways of working.
  • Work experience placements in communications and PR.
