EP Reward Leads to Graduate Employment

In 2017, William Keeling (School of Politics and International Relations) undertook a 2-week work experience placement with EP sponsor, Convert Energy.

Convert Energy, who specialise in renewable energy design, tasked William with a research project looking at potential business leads situated along the British coastline. During the placement, William was given freedom to organise his own project and find creative solutions to overcome the challenges he encountered.

Following William’s graduate from the University of Kent, he has secured a contract to work as a Junior Environmental and Energy Consultant for a EU firm based in Brussels. Reflecting on this, William stated:

“I have realised that I only landed this job because of the internship I did for Convert Energy over the summer – so a massive thank you to them for that!”

Convert Energy’s Director, David Browne, commented:

“Will Keeling proved to be a fantastic asset to the company during his two week employability points placement. His work ethic was second to none, completing the scheduled tasks in half of the allotted time. We wish Will the very best for the future, any employer to snap him up will be very lucky”
