BEM organised its first conference in the charming and picturesque city of Ghent, Belgium on 13-14 September, 2018. This two-day international conference was hosted by our Ghent partners at the ISD (Institute for Social Drug Research). Research papers presented at this conference have been published in special issues of the Journal of Extreme Anthropology and the Tijdschrift over Cultuur en Criminaliteit.
