Dr Alastair Bailey was appointed Head of the School of Economics in August 2014,
following Professor Alan Carruth who stepped down from the post after more than 20 years involvement in the management of the School.
Alastair joined the School in 2008 as Reader in Agricultural Economics and has since held the roles of Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Deputy Head of School. He gained his PhD in Agricultural Economics at the University of Reading and subsequently worked at Wye College and Imperial College London before coming to Kent. We would like to wish Alastair all the very best with his new role.
