On Friday 24th March 2023 we had a very informative talk for students interested in the Year in Industry programme, attended by 35 Stage 1 students
Tom Hulks (currently on placement at Morgan Stanley) and Sebastian Lofblad (currently on placement at Goldman Sachs) were our guest placement student speakers returned to campus from their London placements to speak to us in person.
Each of them shared their unique journey to secure a placement as well as their ‘do’s and dont’s’ for Stage 1 and Stage 2.
‘Tom and Sebastian were sincere and generous with their advice to their peers.’ Dr Penélope Pacheco-López Director of Placements told us ‘To secure a placement requires hard work and serious commitment, at the same time both referred to the very rewarding experience of working as a placement student. What better situation to hear directly from them?’
Tom and Sebastian will return to campus for their final year of study in September.
