The Fiscal and Welfare Effects of Policy Responses to the Covid-19 School Closures

This year’s MaGHiC lecture will be delivered by Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln.

The annual Macroeconomics, Growth and History Centre (MaGHiC) lecture 2022 will be delivered by Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln (Goethe University Frankfurt) presenting a paper on: “The Fiscal and Welfare Effects of Policy Responses to the Covid-19 School Closures”.

“Nicola is a high profile macroeconomist. Her work focuses on the role of household decisions for macroeconomic performance as well as long run growth and political economy aspects of former socialist countries.” Miguel Leon Ledesma, Director of MaGHiC explained  “It is a real honour to host her and we are really looking forward to her presentation. She will present a very topical paper analysing the long-run macroeconomic and distributional effects of Covid-19 school closures.”

The Lecture will take place virtually on Wednesday, March 23, 15:30 to 17:00.
