This in-person workshop will take place on campus over the 9th and 10th of December and we are currently welcoming submissions.

We invite submissions for a workshop on Firm Dynamics, Market Structures and Productivity, to be held at the University of Kent from Thursday 9th December to Friday 10th December 2021.

We welcome submissions in all areas related to the three themes in the call title, either empirical or theoretical. As a rough guide, we encourage papers in macroeconomics related to the following
topics:

  • Imperfect competition and strategic interactions
  • Firm entry and exit
  • Production function estimation and market power measurement
  • Returns to scale
  • Business dynamism
  • UK productivity puzzle
  • Productivity slowdown

The workshop will be in-person but with back-up options for virtual presentation.
Presenters will be offered accommodation for the duration of the workshop. We expect to be able to contribute a fixed sum to travel costs.

The deadline for submissions is 31st October 2021.
Please submit via this form.

Decisions will be announced in early November.
