Professor Iain Fraser is the lead editor for a new journal – Q Open launched this summer by Oxford University Press and supported by the European Agricultural and Applied Economics Publication Foundation. An open-access journal Q Open will broadly cover agricultural and environmental economics.
“It applies a sound-science approach to peer-review, aiming to provide a first decision in 4-6 weeks.” Fraser explained “As the editor in chief I’ve been involved with shaping the make of the editorial team (drawn from across Europe and the US) and bringing together the team of associate editors.”
So far Fraser has gathered Erwin Bulte, Wageningen University (Development Economics), Vincenzina Caputo, Michigan State University (Food, Nutrition and Health Economics), Phoebe Koundouri, Athens University of Economics and Business (Climate and Resource Economics) and David Lewis, Oregon State University (Environmental Economics) as Associate Editors but is hoping to see this group grow over the rest of the year.
