For the sixth consecutive year Economics at Kent is in the top ten of the NSS, ranking 7th with 94% of our students saying they were satisfied with their course. The School also ranked in the top ten for teaching (6th), academic support (7th), assessment and feedback (9th) and organisation of the course (3rd).
The NSS results are backed up by the School’s high rankings in other league tables. Scores include 1st for teaching and 6th for overall student satisfaction for two consecutive years in The Guardian University Guide 2014 [1] and 2013 [2]; 9th for student satisfaction in the Complete University Guide 2015 [3] and 13th for student satisfaction in The Times and Sunday Times [4] Good University Guide League Table 2014 [5].
Head of School, Dr Alastair Bailey, said: ‘This is the continuation of a really high standard performance, which can only be achieved if backed by staff who are committed to excellence in teaching and research. This level of sustained satisfaction reflects the fact that Kent continues to offer a rigorous and traditional education in solid economics that is highly valued by our students.’
