The School of Economics is one of the top economics departments in the UK for job prospects, according to the 2011 National Student Survey. 95% of our students who graduated in 2010 are either in a job or further study six months after graduation. We are also rated 5th nationally for overall student satisfaction, with 93% of our students expressing satisfaction with their course.
The School is also ranked number 1 in the UK for academic support, second for organisation and management, and fifth for teaching, with a 93% satisfaction rate. We are also rated highly for assessment and feedback and personal development.
Head of School, Professor Alan Carruth, said ‘These results continue the School’s impressive record of consistently being ranked in the top 10 in the National Student Survey. The student comments highlight not only the high quality of the course but also the enthusiasm, expertise and approachability of the staff. We are very pleased with the result.’
