A workshop on Professor Tony Thirlwall’s work on the balance of payments and growth is to be held at the University of Coimbra, Portugal on 24–25 June 2011.
The workshop will provide an opportunity for everybody interested in economics to exchange ideas. Researchers are invited to submit theoretical and applied papers on this year’s special topic “Thirlwall´s Law and Balance of Payments constrained growth”. After the workshop, participants will be invited to submit their papers for publication.
The workshop is open to anybody involved in growth economics and international trade issues, including both young and experienced researchers, post-doctoral students, and professionals from government and non-governmental institutions.
