Barry McAleenan came to Kent as an undergraduate in 1966. One of the 2nd 500.
Luckily for us Barry was a keen amateur photographer. While the official photographers were seemingly obsessed with photographing all the shiny new buildings – Barry photographed his fellow students. We are immensely lucky to have 2000 of his pictures in the university archive. They are a wonderful legacy.
Sadly, Barry passed-away recently at his home in Eastbourne. We were privileged to have known him.
