Varsity is our annual sporting fixture against Canterbury Christ Church University, which started 23 years ago as a commemorative rugby fixture after a student death. Since its origins, Varsity has now grown to include over 44 fixtures, across 25 different sports and activities. From rugby to dance, sitting volleyball to E-sports, Varsity has something for everyone!

Student Minds is the UK’s mental health charity which empowers students and members of the university community to develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills to look after their own mental health, support others and create change. Kent Union and Christchurch Students’ Union aim to support students throughout their entire time at University, and have worked with Student Minds in previous campaigns, such as the implementation of Mental Health training for student group committee members so they can help look after their peers and themselves. Sport is one of the best ways we can help to improve our mental health, so help get behind this cause with us during Varsity!
