A campus-to-campus cycle ride from Paris to Canterbury is being organised as part of the University’s 50th anniversary celebrations, and all alumni are invited to take part.
The 240 mile ride will take place over four days at the start of September 2015, which coincides with our Alumni Reunion Weekend on the Canterbury campus from 4-6 September 2015.
The riders will spend three days cycling through Northern France and 1 day through Kent, arriving in Canterbury on the afternoon of Saturday 5 September 2015.
If you are interesting in taking part in the Paris-Canterbury ride, please register here! For more information on the Paris to Canterbury cycle ride, please contact paris-ride@kent.ac.uk.
Downlands Cycles are supporting the Paris to Canterbury ride by offering 50th anniversary celebration cycles built to order for all Kent alumni. The bike will have a super specification with lightweight aluminium frame, carbon forks, 20 speed Shimano gears, and will cost around £1,000 depending upon your choice of gears. Full details of the different bike builds can be found on the School of Computing’s website.
