CPP’s Honorary Professor Ken Eaton chaired the Platform for Better Oral Health in Europe in Brussels on 18th March 2014 with representatives from 25 of EU’s Member States. This Platform presented the preliminary results of the European Oral Health Report Card detailing the status of oral disease prevention policies throughout Europe. This platform has developed 14 targets and indicators to address the challenges identified and to help decision-makers to improve the current situation by focusing upon oral health and the prevention of oral diseases.
Currently, one of the Platform’s activities is to represent oral health in the European Commission’s Joint Action on Chronic Diseases (CHRONDIS) and Honorary Professor Ken Eaton will represent the Platform in Cologne on 28th and 29th April 2014.
