ThriveKent 2026: Living Well Summit

ThriveKent: Living Well Summit 2026

It was a pleasure to host ThriveKent 2026, the first-ever Kent Black Health Inequalities Summit at the University of Kent in March.

On Thursday 26 March we welcomed around 200 delegates to our Sibson building for this landmark event which is dedicated to improving life outcomes for Black individuals and communities across Kent and Medway.

The event brought together residents, health practitioners, policymakers, students, academics, community leaders, and system partners to find solutions to common problems the community faces. The programme included keynote speakers, workshops, networking, and an equity marketplace to encourage collaboration and shared learning.

We worked closely with our internal catering team to provide a culturally inspired menu for the event which included chargrilled jerk chicken, peppered fish, and moi moi, served with rice and peas, jollof rice, and fried plantain.

“A heartfelt thank you to you for your support in planning and delivering what attendees has described as highly successful and extraordinary.” Organiser, ThriveKent
