Procurement and supply professionals work includes procurement (buying goods and services), but can also include much more. This role can involve influencing policy, financial analysis, developing strategy to deliver services, and engaging in contract law.
From spring 2019, Kent will be offering a higher apprenticeship in Commercial Procurement and Supply. Apprentices will play a critical role in the operation of businesses and organisations, and this programme aims to provide them with the necessary skills for their role. The programme will give a foundation-level of knowledge and skills, allowing apprentices to effectively engage with commercially driven procurement and supply.
The trailblazer group who have been working on this apprenticeship contains influential businesses and relevant government departments. For the University, it has been an amazing opportunity to take part in this valuable collaboration.
It is anticipated that the duration of the apprenticeship will be 24 months, including the end-point assessment. Up to 100% of training costs are covered by the Apprenticeship levy or government co-investment, depending on the size of your business.
At the University of Kent, we have an experienced team with a wealth of expertise in apprenticeships and their delivery. Our award-winning blended learning approach, primarily through fully supported e-learning, allows your apprentices to thrive in the workplace while achieving a higher-level qualification. Each apprenticeship is tailored to the needs of the apprentice and their employer.
