Nominated for Apprentice Champion of the Year, Scott has been recognised as a finalist at the 2018 National Apprenticeship Awards.

One of the programmes that Scott champions is the FdSc in Applied Bioscience for Laboratory Scientists. This programme has been praised for its workforce-friendly approach by SMEs and large Pharma in the UK.

The National Apprenticeship Awards are the largest and most prestigious celebration of apprentices and apprentice employers in the UK. Being nominated for Apprentice Champion of the Year is a huge achievement for both Scott and the University, as this award recognises individuals who go the extra mile in their role supporting apprentices.

These awards ‘showcase the diverse range of sectors engaged with apprenticeships and celebrate outstanding apprentices, employers and those individuals who go above and beyond to champion apprenticeships’. The benefits of apprenticeships are celebrated by everyone involved during these awards.

The regional ceremonies for the National Apprenticeship Awards will be held later on in September.
