Ros and Andrew Holden STEM Scholarship

This STEM scholarship has been generously funded by Ros and Andrew Holden and will fund the tuition fees of a Kent-based widening participation student studying a first degree in any STEM subject for three years.

Applications are open to those applying for 4-year courses that include a Sandwich year, Placement Year or Year Abroad, but the award will only be applicable to the 3 years of study at the University campus and not the year away.

Scholarship value

Tuition Fees: £27,750 for UK students (£9,250 per year)

Maintenance Grant: £6,937.50 (£2,312.50 per year)

Total value of scholarship: £34,687.50 for the 3 year duration

Criteria

All candidates eligible for the Ros and Andrew Holden Scholarship must:

  • have accepted an unconditional or firmly accepted a conditional offer from the University of Kent
  • be studying any STEM subject as a first degree
  • provide evidence of financial hardship
  • have lived and/or been educated in the historic boundaries of Kent for a minimum of four years.
