For some assignments you will need to go beyond your reading list and do your own independent research.

The library subscribes to hundreds of bioscience journals, mostly available online. There are two ways of finding articles: searching by title and browsing by subject.

Browse journals by subject

You can browse all bioscience-related journals via Browzine

From the main Browzine homepage select Biological Sciences from the subjects on screen.

This subject category is then further split into further subjects for example; Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Genetics and Genomics, Plant Sciences and more.

Select one of these groups to get a full list of all journals for that area.

The full-text journals will appear on the right-hand side of the screen for you to browse and read. If you create an account in BrowZine you can also set alerts for when new articles are published in yoru favoured journals.

Search journals by title

You can search for articles in journals via LibrarySearch.

You can either look for a specfic article you alrady know about using the reference detials or you can use topic keywords to search for articles.

The short video below demonstrates how to search using keywords.
