Getting Here & Accessibility

On Friday 28 February the conference will be in the Aphra Theatre in the Grimond Building on the University of Kent campus.

Upon entering the Grimond building, go through the foyer to the right, into the Aphra foyer. The room is on the left hand side.

The Conference Dinner will be held at The Foundry Brew Pub in the Centre of Canterbury. From the University it is a 30 minute walk, a short bus journey or taxi ride into town.

 

On Saturday 29 February the conference will be in Eliot Lecture Theatre 2 (ELT2) in Eliot College on the University of Kent campus.

Entering Eliot college take the left hand doors from the atrium, proceed along the corridor to the lobby; the room entrance is directly opposite.

 

For lunches and the drinks reception, we will be in The Gulbenkian.

Getting Here

The University of Kent is a campus university just outside of the city of Canterbury, Kent.

On Foot (from Canterbury West Station):

You can walk from Canterbury West train station (about 25-30 minutes).

Turn left out of the station and walk to the end of the road.

Just after the ‘Goods Shed’ on your left, take the footpath on the left and take the subway under the railway line.

The University is signposted on blue signs from here.

 

By Bus:

To the University from:

Canterbury Bus Station — regular bus service Uni 1 and Uni 2 takes approximately 14 minutes.

Canterbury East Train Station — turn right straight outside the station (do not cross the bridge opposite the station) and follow the road to the bus stop — regular bus service Uni 1 and Uni 2.

Canterbury West Train Station —  turn right and walk to the end of the road, cross the road at the zebra crossing and the bus stop is on the left — regular bus service Uni 1 and Uni 2.

You should alight at Keynes bus stop.

 

By Taxi:

Fares from the city centre to the University are between £5-10 and take between 5-10 minutes.
