The School of Arts are excited to announce two upcoming ‘Careers in Film and Media’ talks. The first event, ‘Careers in Animation’ is with Sabine Heller, Senior Supervisor of Characters at Blue Sky Studios, on Wednesday 25 November at 17.00 via Zoom. Sabine will give an insight into the process of 3D character creation for the 2019 film Spies in Disguise. Students will have the chance to ask Sabine about working on big-budget productions including, Rio 1 & 2, Ice Age 4 & 5 and The Peanuts Movie. Sabine Heller was also a recent graduate of the PhD in Film programme at the School of Arts.
The second event, ‘Careers in International Media’, is with Xin Feng, Founder of SouceEngine on Wednesday 2 December at 13.30 via Zoom. Xin Feng has worked as a journalist, reporter and producer in the UK, US and China. She is also founder of SourceEngine, a digital platform which facilitates access to public records in China. Alongside two interns, Xin will discuss topics including key skills in international media, job-hunting, and starting your own business.
