All at the School of Arts are proud to congratulate our students who are graduating today, 18 July 2019, in a ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral.
The ceremony will be followed by a party for our new graduates, and their families and friends, held at Westgate Hall in the city centre. This will include a prize giving for our graduates. The prize winners for each subject include:
Art History prize winners
- Bann Prize for History and Philosophy of for the best overall performance in stage 2+ History and Philosophy of Art will be awarded to Carola D’Ambrosio, BA (Hons) in Art History.
- Kate Zaks Memorial Prize in Art History for the highest achieving History & Philosophy of Art single honours student at stage 2 will be awarded to Marie Meyer, BA (Hons) in Art History.
- School of Arts Recognition Prize for outstanding work and/or performance will be awarded to Lily Anna Cowley, BA (Hons) in Art History.
Drama and Theatre prize winners
- Vanessa Forrest Prize for the best all-round performance by a Stage 2 Drama student will be awarded to Ariadna Vrljanovic-Zhao, BA (Hons) in Film and Drama.
- Drama Technical Excellence Award for showing the greatest commitment and excellence in technical theatre will be awarded to Lawrence Harp, BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre.
- Eric Barker Prize for achieving the highest result in work related to comedy will be awarded to Lauren Carroll, BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre.
- The School of Arts Acting Prize for the best work in practical Acting assessments across the course of your degree will be awarded to Bertille Mirallié, BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre.
- Foakes Prize for the best performance in examinations related to Shakespeare studies will be awarded to Dorthea Darby, BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre with an Approved Year Abroad.
- Foakes Prize for the best performance in examinations related to Shakespeare studies will be awarded to Bertille Mirallié, BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre.
- Eliot College Prize for Drama Academic Achievement will be awarded to Maria Dorey, BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre.
- Eliot College Prize for Drama Citizenship will be awarded to Dorthea Darby, BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre with an Approved Year Abroad.
- School of Arts Recognition Prize for outstanding work and/or performance will be awarded to Shirley Carruthers, BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre.
Film prize winners
- Martin Walsh Prize for the best performance in the final degree examinations in Film Studies will be awarded to Catherine Lawler, BA (Hons) in Film.
- School of Arts Recognition Prize for outstanding work and/or performance will be awarded to Jenna Dobinson, BA (Hons) in Film.
- School of Arts Recognition Prize for outstanding work and/or performance will be awarded to Ben Windle, BA (Hons) in Film.
