Dr Kaitlyn Regehr, Lecturer in Media Studies, contributed to a piece in this week’s Times Higher Education (THE) on recommended vacation destinations for academics.
Kaitlyn is one of six academics who contribute the article, recommending Toronto.
‘Globally, Canada is to 2019 what Australia was to the late 1990s – hot,’ she explains in the article. ‘British friends remark on my “cool” faded summer camp gear and ask where they can get some of their own; maple syrup has become the artisanal sweetener of choice; and, at London dinner parties, I’m often told “I’ve always wanted to go to Canada”.’
Her contribution includes a list of places to visit and where to eat, based upon her time living in the city.
