Alumnus Callum Donnelly, who graduated with a degree in Drama in 2013, will deliver an online Slapstick and Comedy workshop for The Gulbenkian, the campus’ onsite arts venue, this Wednesday, 29 July 2020.
Through a series of fun exercises and games, Callum’s workshop will introduce the history and basic principles of slapstick and physical comedy, and explore the different skills and techniques required when performing ‘for laughs’ as opposed to straight acting. (Get ready to be silly!)
Callum is a character actor and writer with over ten years experience of devising and performing live comedy.
There will be three workshops held on the day: 1pm for 10-13 years, 3pm for 14-16 years and 5.30pm for 17+. Tickets are £4.50 and the workshop will be delivered on Zoom.
