Dr Olly Double, Reader in Drama, has written about why we still need laughter in the time of the Coronavirus pandemic.

In the piece, published on the University’s News Centre pages, Olly argues that although laughter and humour might not seem an appropriate response in such serious times, laughter fosters an ability to cope and bring us all together.

‘If laughter requires us to find a bit of emotional distance from the whole coronavirus situation, surely that’s a good thing? I’m sure we’re all craving a bit of distance from what we’re living through right now,’ Olly explains.
