Dr Margherita Laera, Senior Lecturer in Drama and Theatre has organised a half-day conference ‘Teaching Drama through Languages’ to be held at King’s College London tomorrow, 12 October 2019.
This free event for secondary-school teachers brings together inspirational educators who work in the crossover area between Drama and Modern Languages. How can the two disciplines learn and benefit from one another? How can one facilitate learning environments where Drama and Modern Languages inspire more young people to practice the values of inclusion and intercultural dialogue? Come along to learn, discuss and network with like-minded colleagues.

- 14:30–16:00 Practical workshops by guest teachers Anne Bérélowitch (Instant Mix) and Jayne Thompson (University of Kent): ‘Teaching Drama through Languages and Languages through Drama’

- 16:15–17:30 Consultation on a new teaching resource entitled ‘Performing International Plays’
- 17:30–18:30 Panel Discussion, chaired by Dr Ana de Medeiros (King’s College London, Modern Language Centre): ‘How can Drama and Modern Languages inspire more young people to practise the values of equality, diversity and inclusion?’
