After a nomination and rigorous peer review process, Professor Paul Allain is delighted to have been selected to be a member of the Academia Europaea. He will work in the new section Film, Media and Visual Studies, which has grown out of the Literary and Theatrical Studies group. He will be joining a distinguished list of European scholars from several disciplines. This pan-European organisation aims to advance excellence in scholarship in the humanities as well as other subjects anywhere in the world for public benefit and for the advancement of the education of the public of all ages in Europe.
Professor Allain is internationally recognized for his work on contemporary Polish theatre and will bring extensive experience of European projects and collaborations to this new role. He looks forward to working with the AE and its members.
