Congratulations to Dr Helen Brooks (Drama), Dr Cecilia Sayad (Film), Dr Ben Thomas (History of Art) and Jayne Thompson (Drama) who have been promoted to Senior Lecturer in the School of Arts.
Every year the University recognises the success of individual members of staff and this year was no exception with over 50 academic staff celebrating promotions.
Marion Fanthorpe, Interim HR Director said: ‘We have continued to have high numbers of applications for academic promotions this year, with excellent success rates. The quality and range of the work has been impressive, including significant contributions to teaching and learning and leadership, as well as research excellence. Heads of Schools and Deans have assisted the University Promotions Committee this year by getting more involved in supporting applications and ensuring high standards are consistently applied and achieved across schools and faculties. This has also meant we have been able to offer individuals more feedback and advice on their career progression.’
