Transitions, the 5th annual symposium promoting new research and multi-disciplinary academic study of comics/ comix/ manga/ bande dessinée and other forms of sequential art, will take place at Birkbeck College in London, on Saturday 25th October 2014.

Dr Antonio Lazaro-Reboll (University of Kent) ‘Comics Culture and Comic Art Scholarship in Spain (1965-1975)’
Part of Comica – The London International Comics Festival, thisis currently the only regular academic comics event based in London. Transitions is devoted to promoting new research into comics in all their forms, aiming specifically to provide a forum for research by postgraduate students and early career lecturers/researchers.
