European Summer School

The University of Kent has a strong tradition of welcoming students from across the world and has an excellent international reputation; our academics are engaged in collaborative research and teaching with universities around the globe. Many of Kent’s programmes have a strong international focus and, as the UK’s European university, we have long-standing links with continental Europe giving us access to the very best professors, academics and practitioners in the field of international relations and European culture.

To celebrate the University’s 50th anniversary we have established the European Summer School Programme, taught in English, which builds on our international reputation and specialist postgraduate centres in Brussels and Paris.  The Summer Schools will enable both those working and studying to develop their knowledge of the politics of the European Union (EU) or study the revolutionary influences of French history and culture

Students will benefit from tailor-made courses that combine campus-based teaching sessions and outdoor cultural activities. In the past, students have explored the architecture of Paris and visited the Battlefields of World War One in bespoke tours guided by experienced and knowledgeable academics. The supportive and encouraging interdisciplinary learning environment is ideal for those wishing to enrich their academic knowledge and professional skills while benefiting from the cultural opportunities of study abroad.
