Based in Dunblane, Scotland, Ideas for Ears is run by people with hearing loss. They want “the world to be easier and smoother for people with hearing loss” and to challenge misconceptions about the real experiences that people with hearing loss have. During 2018 people with hearing loss were closely involved in the development of a Hearing Access Protocol. The resulting booklet of “must-dos for meetings and events” aims to help all participants and organisers to feel more confident about what is expected to enable access and inclusion to flourish.
